Recommended launch point Long Hallow Park is a beautiful little park on Lake Lanier complete with pick-nick tables and restrooms. If you avoid weekends and late afternoons the lake is quiet and suitable for all level of riders. There are plenty of deep water coves to explore from here, just be careful if you venture out into the big water as that is a main thoroughfare for boats on Lanier.
For weekends I would strongly recommend avoiding this area, but if you must, only intermediate to advanced riders as it can be difficult to get up and stay up. Weekend boaters are not courteous, do not pay attention, and will run you down. - Bryan V.
Clear Lake water, several feet of visibility.
Early mornings there is minimal boat traffic. Early afternoons during the week see minimal to moderate boat traffic. Weekends and late afternoons can see high boat traffic. Weekend boaters are not courteous, do not pay attention, and will run you down.
This is a nice area for Beginners, except for weekends and late afternoons when the boat traffic can make riding difficult and dangerous. All riders will enjoy exploring the many coves.
