Overview
Gulf Island National Seashore is a haven for kiteboarders! This is probably the most popular spot for kiteboarding in the entire stretch from Destin to Pensacola. You'll find kiteboarders of all skill level here, and plenty of hands willing to help you get your kite launched. Launching an Efoil or wing foil from GINS is possible too, but riders need to keep in mind that the shallow depths that make for good kiteboarding make for bad foiling. Foilers will need to wade their equipment out far enough to avoid beaching their foils.

There is a lot of boat traffic that passes by this park, but they're usually far enough out, following channel markers that you're not likely to have any run-ins.

This park is an ideal spot for both new trainees as well as those looking to practice their skills. Even though this is an easy launch spot, you'll find more experienced riders here, especially during rougher weather.
