Grayton Beach State Park can be an excellent launch point for all watersports. You will find a decent amount of parking, public bathrooms amenities. The key downside to this launch location is the single boardwalk that you'll need to carry your kit over in order to get to the shore. We wish the distance was shorter and the boardwalk a little wider. Kiteboarders may need to hike a little further east in order to have enough unobstructed beach to get their kit launched. This is a gulf-side ride, only.
Inexperienced riders should aim for green flag days, or rides early in the morning to find calm conditions. As the day progresses, conditions can get choppier and will require skill at managing surf.
