Wolf Lake is an inland lake with some upsides and downsides.
On the up, the water warms quicker than Lake Michigan due to shallow depths.
On the down, there are many sunken treasures - sharp rocks, slag, rebar, etc. We recommend protecting your feet with boots, even in warmer temperatures.
Look for Southerly, Westerly and SW winds, but be aware that in S-SW winds, kites are prone to falling and then quickly being rammed back into power.
Launch quickly, and ride yourself out more towards the center of the lake/west of the small island to the South.
This is an intermediate to advanced launch due to a very small launch and obstacles in the launch area on shore.
Kiter should be very confident launching and landing (we recommend asking for assistance). Kiter should be able to ride upwind well and quickly avoid obstacles.
