Crab Island is a popular destination for both tourists and locals. A submerged, but shallow island sits just outside of the Destin Harbor as serves as a party spot. You'll find a mix of everything - throttled rental pontoon boats sitting alongside multi-million dollar yachts, as well as floating food and drink trucks. Foilers can fly above the beautiful water around the island, but it's far too shallow to safely ride over.
Boat traffic can vary depending on the day and season. Expect tons of traffic during the summer months, we'd recommend visiting here during these times only to riders who are confident about staying up on foil.
We tend to reserve this area for experienced riders due to the heavy boat traffic. Riders should be confident in their ability to stay up on foil through currents and waves, and keep their whits about them near and in between clusters of boats.
